Reviews and Ratings
The hotel boasts an excellent location right on the sea, offering great views across the Bay of Naples. Rooms are spacious but basic, with tiny TVs and no tea-making facilities. The service is friendly and efficient, especially Francesco who stands out. Dining options are continental with some hot alternatives. The location is fantastic, just a 5-minute walk to the central square with amazing views of the bay. However, prices for extras like a small can of beer in a paper cup are a bit high.
The hotel is well-furnished with views onto the terrace and across the sea, but the lack of air conditioning, small shower, and thin walls might not suit everyone. The service, while friendly, could use some improvement. The location is excellent, close to various amenities. The dining experience offers delicious options, but some may find the homemade dishes not to their taste.
Staying at Villina Maria exceeded all our expectations with its clean and comfortable rooms, including two verandas offering stunning views of Mount Vesuvius and the Bay of Naples. The pool and pier were pristine, and we enjoyed the best pizza in Sorrento at the pool cafe. The spacious standard double room in the main hotel was cleaned daily and provided a cozy stay.
I stayed at this hotel and loved the fantastic location just 2 minutes from the main square with easy access to restaurants and shops. The rooms were spotlessly clean with the highlight of a balcony offering breathtaking views of the sea and Mount Vesuvius. The service was impeccable, especially in the dining room and bar, but the lack of sockets in the room was a downside. The dining experience was delightful, overlooking Mount Vesuvius, and the staff were very helpful. However, the beach access was temporarily closed during my stay. Overall, a great stay with excellent value for money.
The hotel sounded lovely in the pictures, but it didn't quite match up in reality. The French balcony we expected was missing, and sadly, Room 215 was better than what we got, making our stay a bit disappointing.
The hotel room I stayed in was quite spacious, opened onto a shared terrace area, and was cleaned daily. Although the cost was a bit on the higher side, the room itself was nice, but the bathroom could use some updating as it felt very dated.
